Vojaška kapela na Planici
Italian military chapel is placed on the Krn mountain range, between Planica and Pleče. Another sight and reminder of the horrible war happening right there.
It was built during the First World War, in vicinity of the first line of defence. We can still spot many trenches, caverns and cannon-positions around the chapel.
Chapel got the name after the captain Celestin Bes.
Beside the stylised shells, the attention also catches inscription CONSOLATRIX AFFLICTORUM – the Comforter of the Afflicted.
